
Associate Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst (Hybrid, Istanbul)
We are looking for an Associate Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Research team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cybercrime investigations, dark web monitoring, and threat intelligence gathering. The analyst will help track threat actors, ransomware operations, hacker forums, and underground marketplaces to provide valuable insights into emerging risks.
As part of this role, you will collect, analyze, and interpret threat intelligence from various sources, including dark web marketplaces, hacker forums, Telegram channels, and ransomware leak sites. You will work closely with experienced cybersecurity researchers and data analysts to support intelligence-driven risk assessments.
Key Responsibilities
Threat Intelligence Collection & Analysis
Monitor dark web forums, marketplaces, ransomware blogs, and Telegram channels for cybercriminal activity.
Analyze ransomware operations, data leaks, and underground threat actor trends.
Collect and process cyber threat intelligence (CTI) from multiple open-source and restricted sources.
Identify stolen credentials, leaked sensitive data, and indicators of compromise (IoCs) from underground sources.
Support the team in categorizing, tagging, and structuring intelligence data for actionable insights.
Collaboration & Reporting
Work closely with cybersecurity researchers and data scientists to integrate intelligence into risk assessments.
Assist in writing clear, well-structured intelligence reports based on collected data.
Provide insights in English-written communications when engaging with internal teams or clients.
Participate in research discussions and brainstorming sessions to improve intelligence-gathering workflows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, or a related field—or equivalent experience in cybersecurity research.
Interest in cybercrime, ransomware groups, and dark web activity.
Strong research and analytical skills for processing large amounts of intelligence data.
Familiarity with threat intelligence concepts, such as IoCs, TTPs, and cyber kill chains.
Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, especially in written communication.
Proactive mindset with curiosity and eagerness to learn about cyber threats.
Preferred Skills
Experience with OSINT tools such as Maltego, SpiderFoot, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with dark web monitoring tools and techniques.
Knowledge of threat intelligence frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, etc.).
Basic understanding of scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
Experience working with data analysis tools for cybersecurity research.
Hands-on experience with Tor, VPNs, or OPSEC best practices for safe cybercrime investigations.
