AI Automation Specialist
Black Kite helps the world’s largest organizations understand and manage cyber risk across their entire vendor ecosystem. The problems are real, the stakes are high, and the company moves fast. We’re building a core internal AI automation practice to match that pace by identifying high-friction, low-impact work that consumes resources across every department and replacing it with AI-driven solutions that deliver tangible business value.
This role sits at the intersection of that mission and AI’s most practical applications: not demos, not research, but infrastructure that makes everyone around you faster and smarter. Working alongside our AI Strategy lead, you will own the full project lifecycle: discovery, design, build, documentation, performance tracking, and continuous refinement.
You don’t need a traditional software engineering background or a computer science degree to succeed here. We care far more about what you’ve built than how you built it, whether using no-code tools, LLM APIs, agentic frameworks, or a combination of all three. If you’re the kind of person who learned to automate things before anyone asked you to, and you want to bring that instinct to a company where it has real impact, show us the work.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Identify high-friction business challenges and architect agentic workflows that deliver measurable operational impact.
Run discovery sessions across Marketing, Sales, Operations, Customer Success, HR, and Engineering to surface automation opportunities and translate findings into clear briefs for design and build.
Design and ship production-grade automations using Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, no-code/low-code platforms (n8n, Make, Zapier), and LLM APIs. Manage work in GitHub; deliver to production, not handoffs.
Connect AI capabilities to our existing stack, including Slack, HubSpot, Jira, Salesforce, and Google Workspace, to cut repetitive work, improve output quality, and accelerate decisions.
Build and maintain Skills, prompt libraries, AI templates, and workflow documentation that non-technical teammates can use independently.
Monitor deployed automations, respond to failures, handle edge cases, and track performance metrics: time saved, error rate, and cost reduction.
Contribute to a live use-case registry and Black Kite’s internal AI roadmap alongside the AI Strategy lead.
Evaluate and recommend tools for adoption; support procurement for what you propose. Apply sound judgment on data sensitivity and governance per our AI Acceptable Use Policy.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Required
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, plus 1–2 years in a business analyst, operations, digital marketing, or adjacent role.
Hands-on experience with at least one AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, or equivalent) applied to real work tasks — building and iterating on solutions, not just prompting.
Demonstrated experience building and deploying automation workflows using tools like Make, Zapier, n8n, Airtable, Notion, or similar.
Comfort with LLM APIs, REST APIs, and webhooks for prompt construction, output handling, and wiring AI steps into larger workflows.
Able to work in a modern dev environment (VS Code, GitHub) and take a project from local development to production.
Process-first mindset: understands the workflow before touching a tool, and knows when to redesign rather than automate.
Strong written communication — documentation that non-technical stakeholders can actually follow is a core deliverable here.
Nice to Have
Experience with agentic AI frameworks (LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen) or multi-step AI pipelines.
Basic Python or JavaScript; familiarity with data layers (SQL, Airtable, lightweight ETL).
Background in RevOps, digital marketing, or content operations; CRM or PM tool exposure (Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana, Jira).
Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts, third-party risk, or B2B SaaS.
A portfolio with before-and-after metrics on production automation: time saved, error rate reduced, or cost eliminated.
Base salary range: $65,000 to $80,000, commensurate with demonstrated skills and portfolio. Our total rewards program includes performance-based bonuses, equity, flexible healthcare options, paid time off, and retirement savings. Actual compensation will depend on qualifications, skills, experience, and role scope.
